Our Mission
The mission of this piano studio is to provide a musical experience playing the piano with the ease of understanding music literacy and artistic concepts. If the beginner learns musicianship before literacy, the definitions will be more easily understood.
The piano offers a conceptually self explanatory visual and sensory experience. The piano keyboard provides a logical display of several concepts. Pitch can be heard and the sounds and distance of pitch intervals have visual definition. Melodies and chords are visually logical.
Learning is fun to a child because discovery is all around them. Musicianship comes easily to children because children can move naturally in constant bodily motion. Listening and literacy is learned from music so musicianship is explanatory to the beginner.
Piano games teach music notation, concepts, and listening. Musical concepts include: up/down, long/short. Piano literacy uses several standardized tools: notation, alphabet names, finger numbers.
Mature students can use the piano to play familiar music, learn music literacy, and compose and score your own musical compositions.
